הָעוֹבֵר לִפְנֵי הַתֵּבָה
בְּיוֹם טוֹב שֶׁל רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה,
הַשֵּׁנִי מַתְקִיעַ.
וּבִשְׁעַת הַהַלֵּל,
רִאשׁוֹן מַקְרֵא אֶת הַהַלֵּל:
The one who passes before the teivah — who leads the davening —
on the Yom Tov of Rosh Hashana:
it is the second who has the shofar blown.
And at the time of Hallel,
it is the first who calls out the Hallel.
